It promotes weight control and a feeling of satiety.

Fucus is a brown seaweed from rocky coasts, from the fucaceae family, which owes its name to the presence of gas vesicles in its morphology. The active part of the algae are the perennial stems, which contain mucilaginous polysaccharides and mineral salts. It is a remineralising species, the most important mineral, which gives the seaweed its medicinal meaning, being iodine.

Traditionally, thanks to the presence of iodine, bladderwrack has been used as a metabolic activator, promoting weight reduction by increasing calorie burning. It has also been shown to have a satiating effect due to inhibition of α-amylase and α-glucosidase. Several studies also suggest that it can be used as a palliative for the symptoms of skin ageing, preventing the thinning of the dermis and increasing its elasticity.

MAIN INDICATIONS

  • Overweight.
  • Satiating.
  • Skin anti-ageing.

Bulking agent (cellulose), dried extract of bladderwrack stems (Fucus vesiculosus L.) standardised to 0.15% iodine 100 mg, vegetable coating (pululan), sweetener (xylitol), carrier (shellac).

Take 1 or 2 capsules a day, with a glass of water.

Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep container in a cool, dry place out of reach of children. Contains sweetener. Excessive consumption may cause laxative effects.

Due to the presence of iodine, its use is not recommended in the case of thyroid problems (it may alter TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) levels), menstrual disorders (as it has a certain oestrogenic effect), or treatment with lithium (in bipolar disorders).

Pregnancy, lactation and children under 18 years of age: not recommended.
