Omega 3 Neo is a food supplement made from fish oil extract rich in omega 3 fatty acids.
Omega 3 is the generic name for a group of polyunsaturated fatty acids, essential for our body. The most abundant Omega 3 fatty acids in nature, mainly in fish, and which have healthy and beneficial properties for our body, are:
- EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid)
- DHA (docosahexaenoic acid)
One of the main functions of these fatty acids is to reduce the incidence of cardiovascular diseases, due to their hypocholesterolemic effect, acting on the HDL chain of lipoprotein transporters, and favouring the reduction of atheroma plaque, which has given these nutrients a recognised health claim: helping to normalise the correct functions of the heart.
In addition, these substances are involved in the metabolic cascade of inflammation, making them potent natural anti-inflammatories, as well as their use in the construction and protection of neuronal structures.
